Samantha Phillips is a Cyber Studies PhD candidate at The University of Tulsa. Her research and schooling is supported through the Cyber Fellows initiative.
Samantha's research interests are enterprise security, human aspects of security, risk management, and security education, training, and awareness (SETA). Her PhD research is focused on assessing organizational information security culture.
She has 4+ years of industry experience in general IT support and Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) with a focus on policy development.
Samantha has been greatly involved with cyber clubs and organizations and has held various leadership positions.
She is passionate about helping others learn the importance of cybersecurity and how to keep themselves and their businesses safe. She regularly volunteers to teach cybersecurity lessons for K-12 students, including Girl Scout workshops.
